The feathergrass, named after the featherfly, is a common wild grass found in East Nua.

Etymology

From English feather + grass.

Morphology

The feathergrass grows up to 160 centimeters, making it one of the tallest grasses. Each end of the feathergrass contains thin, hair-like awns.

Physiology

The hair-like awns are sensitive to the wind, efficiently spreading the seeds.

Life Cycle

This annual grass grows quickly in the early spring, reaching full maturity by early summer. It completes its entire life cycle in roughly 4 months, dying off in mid-summer.

Ecology

It reproduces both sexually and asexually.
