The Crettic charmell is a fierce, small carnivorous mammal endemic to Cretta. Despite its somewhat diminutive stature, it is an apex hunter within its size class, known for its aggression and high reproductive success.

Etymology

From English Crettic (of Cretta) + Charmell, of unknown origin.

Morphology

The animal stands between 50 and 60 centimeters at the shoulder, with males typically being larger than females. It is covered in a dense coat of white fur that provides camouflage against the frost-dusted rocks of its habitat, contrasting sharply with light brown markings on its muzzle. The nose is dark, ranging from brown to black. Eye coloration is highly variable within the species, ranging from whitish-blue to caramel, dark brown, or black. Its body structure is compact and muscular.

Physiology

Their high energy levels and fierce temperament allow them to take down prey relatively large for their size.

They prey on small mammals and birds.
